You learn one spell from the Psychic Spell list. Once per day when casting this spell, you can reduce its Stamina cost by 1, to a minimum of 1.
You can communicate with other creatures within 60 feet of you with your mind. When you do, choose a range within 60 feet and every creature within that range can hear you just like any other creature that is speaking would be heard. You can spend 1 Stamina to speak with only a single individual within 60 feet of you that you can see. Anyone that you communicate with like this can spend 1 Stamina to respond telepathically to you. If you spend 2 Stamina, you can telepathically send abstract thoughts, feelings, or images to an individual that you can see. If they are a hostile or non-willing target, you must succeed a Will Contest before sending this way.
Description
There are many tales of how the new lineages came to be. It is often rumored that the Astomi were once the most powerful of the magi. The Godcry stripped them of their mouths, and thus their ability to speak, so that they could never incant spells again. Many say this is how the Gods punished them for their involvement in The Collapse. Most Astomi are nomadic by nature, so it is common to find Astomi adventurers, mercenaries, and fortune tellers wandering all around the world. Though they lost their mouths, their magical nature was not stifled when magic returned to the world. It just returned in a new form. Astomi do not need food and drink to survive. Instead, just the smell of food provides them with the same benefits as if they had consumed it. When doing this, the food or drink sublimates into a gas and is fully consumed. This works the same for potions.
Appearance
Astomi have varying skin tones, hair and eye colors, and have a wide range of height and weight. Their most notable feature would be their shimmering/glowing pupils and lack of mouth. They very often wear some sort of covering over their faces to blend into society easier, but the glow to their eyes often gives them away. The glow becomes even more apparent when spellcasting, using Telepathy, or when they’re feeling strong emotions.
